On Saturday, June 9, 2012, Children’s Memorial's main hospital moved to 225 E Chicago Avenue, and became Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. This new 23-story, state-of-the-art hospital helps further our mission to provide superior care to the region’s most critically ill and injured children.
This new name recognizes philanthropist Ann Lurie’s $100 million gift. Her generosity helped us engage patients, families, and a wider community to create together an innovative and family-centered environment that will provide kids with access to the best in pediatric medicine and research – top pediatric specialists, advanced treatments and the latest technologies. Lurie Children’s is designed to be “green” and based on evidence-based hospital design principles to increase patient safety, speed healing and make care more efficient.

Under our new name, we continue to provide outpatient care at additional city and suburban locations inlcuding Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood (expanded services), Arlington Heights, Glenview, Lake Forest, New Lenox, Westchester, Winfield and Chicago's Uptown neighborhood. We also maintain our partnerships with area community hospitals.
